- URDAIBAI RESERVE- A few days ago Aline´s satellite device stopped emitting a signal. This happened when she had crossed the Strait and was flying over Morocco. The 17th of September she set off on her migratory journey, having slept in an area south of Tangier. By 11:00 she was flying above the River Lucas near the town of Larache.
After continuing along the coast, passing Kenitra and Rabat, she then turned inland and headed in the direction of the desert. At 20:00 stopped to rest in an area of crops. The last signal sent by the Argos satellite indicated that she was in an irrigation reservoir, 25km away from where she had spent the night. The fact that we have now lost the signal could be due to a technical fault with the device. However, until we receive any other information, we remain hopeful that Aline is alive and well.
Meanwhile, Cousteau, who has spent one year in Senegal, continues living in the area of Casamance River, near Ziguinchor.
